Questions, answered plainly
No jargon, no fine print surprises. If your question isn't here, just ask — we reply within one business day.
How does pricing work?
Three fixed packages — Starter Site, Business Pro, Custom Scale — cover most businesses at a clear, one-time price. If your project needs something Custom Scale doesn't quite describe, we quote it individually after a free scoping call. Either way, you get an itemized quote before anything is booked.
How long does a website take to build?
Starter Site typically launches in 1–2 weeks, Business Pro in 2–4 weeks. Custom Scale timelines depend on the features involved and are confirmed on the scoping call, since booking systems, payments, or dashboards vary a lot in scope.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Your business name, logo if you have one, a few photos, and basic information about what you offer. If you don't have a logo or photos yet, tell us — we can still get you a working plan. Even just a Facebook Page to reference is enough to start a conversation.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — ask us about monthly plans on any package. Ownership of the site transfers to you once it's fully paid, same as our one-time pricing.
What is a domain name, and why do I need one?
Your domain is your address on the internet — yourbusiness.com — instead of a generic subdomain from a website builder. We always register it under your own name and account, so it's legally yours, not ours. Without one, you don't fully control where your business lives online.
What is web hosting?
Hosting is the server space where your website's files actually live so browsers can load them. Every package includes hosting for the first year, configured and managed for you — you don't need to understand servers, we handle that part.
What is an SSL certificate, and why does it matter?
SSL is what puts the padlock icon next to your website address and encrypts data between your visitors and your site. Without it, browsers flag your site as "Not Secure," and Google ranks unencrypted sites lower. Every Pentascale package includes it, installed and monitored.
What is a CMS (content management system)?
A CMS gives you an admin panel to edit your own text, photos, and announcements — without touching code or calling us for every small change. It's included from Business Pro up, and available as an add-on on Starter Site.
What is SEO, and what do you actually do for it?
SEO (search engine optimization) is the technical and content work that helps Google find, understand, and rank your pages. Basic SEO (all packages) covers titles, meta descriptions, and clean page structure. Full SEO (Business Pro and up) adds keyword research, schema markup, and Google Business Profile setup. We never promise specific rankings — anyone who does is guessing.
Do I actually own my website and domain?
Yes. Your domain is registered under your own name and account — not ours — and your content is yours. We build the site; you own what we build.
What happens if I want to leave Pentascale?
You take your website with you. There's no lock-in and no hostage situation — export is part of how we operate, not a special favor.
What does Monthly Maintenance actually cover?
Content updates, security monitoring, link and form checks, renewal coordination, hosting account management, and a monthly status report — see the full breakdown on the Packages section of the homepage.
Can I cancel maintenance anytime?
Yes — it's billed monthly with no long-term contract. Cancel anytime; you keep the website either way.
